9Days/8Nights Lake Nakuru Park (Kenya), Masai Mara (Kenya), Serengeti (Tanzania) and Ngorongoro (Tanzania) Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival - Nairobi
On arrival at the airport you will be Picked by our representative who will transfer you you hotel . stay in readiness for a holiday safari the following morning Overnight accommodation at PANAFRIC HOTEL or similar (Bed & Breakfast)
Day 2 : Lake Nakuru National Park
Pick up from your hotel at 0830 hrs and drive via the scenic Rift valley to arrive L.Nakuru National park in good time for lunch. Full afternoon game drives claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents. Dinner and overnight stay at FLAMINGO HILL TENTED CAMP or similar (Full Board)
Day 3 : Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
Drive to via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch. Full afternoon game drive till dusk. Dinner and overnight stay at OL MORAN TENTED CAMP or simliar (Full Board)
Day 4: Maasai Mara
Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5- Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. Overnight stay at OL MORAN TENTED CAMP or similar (Full Board)
Day 5: Masai Mara– Serengeti National park
After breakfast, check out and via Isibania border and after immigration formalities with our Tanzanian Driver guide to Serengeti national park. Afternoon game drive which brings you into the heart of the Serengeti's "endless plains" where you may spot some of the many animal & bird species. Be on the lookout for prides of lions as this is one of the best places on the continent to see them! You will arrive for Dinner and overnight at the SERONERA WILDLIFE LODGE or similar (Full Board)
Day 6: Serengeti National park
A full day with morning and afternoon game drives to explore the plains, Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometres of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabitants. Day 7: Serengeti - Ngorongoro crater
After early morning breakfast leave with picnic lunch for a full day crater tour. You will be taken 2000ft down the crater by a 4wheel drive vehicle, explore the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World,’ a visit to the crater is a main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is home of Ngorongoro Crater. It was formed some 2.5 million years ago from a volcanic mountain sinking due to inactivity, and was initially thought to be higher than Tanzania’s famous Kilimanjaro. The crater has evolved into a unique and integral part of Tanzania’s eco-system. The crater is actually a caldera, measures 22.5 km’s across and the rim walls stand 600m high. Views from within and from the rim are breathtaking (as can be seen from the picture). The crater houses 30,000 animals and a large variety of birds, which rarely move from the area due to the availability of water through wet and dry seasons Dinner and overnight at the NGORONGORO WILDLIFE LODGE or similar (Full Board)
Day 8: Ngorongoro crater- Lake Manyara
After breakfast check out and drive to Lake Manyara enroute with a game drive. You will arrive in time for Lunch. Afternoon game drives until sunset in Lake Manyara National Park. You will drive through the Park’s Mahogany forest; marsh, grass and scrubland, which are home to over 350 species of birds that populate this magnificent, tangle of vegetation. The park is famous for the tree-climbing lions that inhabit its forests. Dinner and overnight at the LAKE MANYARA HOTEL or similar (full board).
Day 9 : Manyara - Arusha -Nairobi
Breakfast at leisure then – drive to Arusha to arrive by 1200 hrs –you will be transferred to the airport for your out bound flight.
