Tand-TSS006 - 9Days/8Nights Selous, Ruaha and Mikumi National Park(By Road)
Day 1: DAR ES SALAAM – SELOUS
Depart from Dar es Salaam city and drive to Selous Game Reserve, arriving in time for Lunch at Rufiji River Camp. After lunch, spend a few hours relaxing at the Camp before embarking for an afternoon game drive in the Reserve till sunset.

Day 2: SELOUS
Enjoy a full day game viewing in the Reserve. The Game Reserve is Africa's largest protected area uninhabited by man, where Tanzania's greatest population of elephants wander in an area bigger than Switzerland! The Selous is considered important enough to be World Heritage Site, in which the lucky few can experience a safari in absolutely wild and unspoiled bush.

Day 3 & 4: SELOUS
After breakfast, accompany an armed ranger on a walking Safari in the Reserve. The Sights and sounds (and smells) of a walking Safari are a special treat that will live long in your memory. The thrill of creeping up to animals to “Shoot” them with your camera is a great experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat Safari where you will explore the different channels and lakes of the Rufiji River System, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles. A large variety of herons, storks, ducks, stilts, and other water birds may be seen. And you also see land mammals, such as giraffe and elephants

Day 5: SELOUS -MIKUMI
After breakfast, depart Selous Game Reserve and drive to Mikumi National Park with picnic Lunch. Arrive at Vuma Hill Tented Camp in the evening. The Camp is perched above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wilderness south west of Mikumi National Park.

Day 6: MIKUMI –RUAHA
After breakfast drive to Ruaha National Park, which is famous for its rare sable antelope, roan antelope and big herds of elephants. The park represents a transition zone where eastern and southern African flora and fauna overlap. Although Ruaha is one of the largest parks in Africa, it is comparatively unknown and due to its remoteness, remains unspoiled. Lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive. Ruaha River Lodge is the only lodge in the reserve and is built on a rocky ridge with spectacular views of the Great Ruaha River.

Day 7: RUAHA
Enjoy a full day game drive in the Park. Nearly 500 bird species have been sighted within the park. The river area features large numbers of hippo and crocodile and attracts lions, leopards, hunting dogs, waterbucks, Impalas, giraffes, warthogs, and elands. Grants gazelle, ostrich and cheetah may bee seen on the plains.

Day 8: RUAHA –MIKUMI
After breakfast, drive to Mikumi National Park. Lunch at Vuma Hill Tented Camp, followed by an evening game drive in the park.

Day 9: MIKUMI –DAR ES SALAAM
After breakfast, enjoy another game drive returning to the Camp later for lunch. After lunch, drive back to Dar es Salaam.
End of Safari
The Safari Cost Includes:
- Pick up and drop off in Dar es Salaam town hotel or airport
- Park entrance fee at Ruaha and Mikumi National Parks
- Full board accommodation on safari
- Service of an English speaking driver guide
- Transport based on a safari minibus with pop up roof for game viewing
