Our safaris are carefully designed to meet your safari requirements, for those looking to join a group safari, our monthly departures at a pocket friendly price. These groups are for minimum 4 and maximum of five people. We also do hotel and accommodation reservations in and around east Africa.

 HISTORY
In the mid 1990’s the director of Tandala Tours & Safaris, Mrs. Mary C. W. Karanja started a curio/artifacts business with Pula UK and later Twiga LLP USA. The crafts included handmade baskets (kiondos) & wood carvings of all kinds from Ukambani region of Kenya, baskets from the Coast, Central & Nyanza provinces of Kenya, soapstone from Kisii, Maasai beads, necklaces, bracelets and other artifacts.
At first most of the items were being sourced from within the East African region, that is Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. As the business grew, demand for artifacts from deferent regions in Africa were gaining popularity hence we started trading with goods from other regions such as Congo, Botswana, South Africa & parts of West Africa.
All these artifacts are made from natural local materials like sisal, banana fiber, wood, bone etc.
Through this trade she was able to interact with all kinds of people from all over the world. She would be asked about Africa, the origin & source of the items, the culture of the people who made the crafts. Due to this interest people started asking if she could arrange trips for them to visit Kenya and other parts of Africa so as to see the magnificent places she described as the source of the crafts.
This is was how Tandala came into being since both complimented each other.
Today Tandala provides tour services to both local & overseas travellers who wish to visit the spectacular sites & places described as the source of the artifacts, as well other attractions in East Africa like the parks, game reserves (Masai Mara, Amboseli, and sunny coastal beaches, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, etc) to see the wildlife, beautiful sceneries & sites.
Tandala provides tailor made safaris, group tours & excursions to suit each visitors needs.
